Beastly vacuum in good and bad ways . . .
Another reviewer said this machine was a beast. It is in more than one way. The suction is impressive and it picks up more dust, dirt and dog hair than any vacuum I have ever used. The suction and design makes edge cleaning a breeze..
It is also a beast to handle. The swivel action has no apparent benefit in my application and it makes the vacuum a bit difficult to handle for a 60+ year old lady. Running it with full suction (which I like to do) results in quite a workout!
I like the lights and the placement of the power and brush roller on/off switch. Very handy. The foot release peddle is a little awkward and there isn't a definitive release movement, so it feels a little like I might be about to break the handle mount every time I start to vacuum. I miss the auto cord rewind on my old vacuum. The 30 foot cord is nice, but is a little cumbersome and tangles easily while vacuuming. The hose clamps are a joke and the hose dangles freely, despite having been reinserted multiple times while in use. I will have to fashion some velcro straps to hold the hose in place.
The vacuum is relatively quiet considering the power it has, and the size allows it to be easily stored in the closet. The dust bin is super easy to remove and empty. I can't speak for longevity as it's a new machine. Filters work great as I haven't noticed any smells or blow back of any particles.
All in all, it is a very good vacuum and does the job quite well. I might or might not buy this vacuum again. We will see how annoying the cord tangles, dangling hose and wrestling this beast are in the long run.
